Students in Early Childhood Education explore the growth and development of children from birth to third grade and the importance of early intervention for school readiness. Junior students work in our state licensed preschool for children ages 3, 4 and 5 years. Students plan and present all of the developmentally appropriate lessons to the children. Required trainings provided include Communicable Disease, Child Abuse, Pediatric First Aid and CPR for infant/children/adults. Senior students work with infants, toddlers and elementary school children from kindergarten through third grade. Students also research disabilities and explore various ways to make accommodations in the classroom.
