Animal Science Pre-Veterinary Technology

This program is designed to give students a working knowledge of animal management and veterinary science through the study of many animals, including cattle, sheep, swine, horses, poultry, and goats. This course will provide an understanding of breeds, animal health, nutrition, training, anatomy and physiology, grooming, and related employment skills.  Animal handling, management and care are practiced with a variety of species. Coursework is geared to the interests and career direction of the individual student.

This program provided me with so many opportunities that I would have never experienced at my home school: hands-on learning, working with livestock, FFA participation, and Artifical Insemination Training and Certification, just to name a few.
